Openldap, yes. I don't think this is the issue, because the timeout happen frequently (only) during the hours of 5am to 8am. It does not happen any other times. At 5am, when I did my last testing) I was the only active person on the machine. One other person, but that was because she left her mail client on over night. The load was really low. (so only one imap connection at a time). Looking for the idletimout is a rather good suggestion though. (I did not have it set). Thanks for the help so far.
