Thanks for the pointers here.
The MaxperIP is set at 300 and the maxdaemons is set at 40.

This should be more then enough.

as for the authldaprc : the ldaptimeout is set at 5. I also have nscd
running. I do not think this is the problem either.

Please, if any of you have further ideas, I would love to hear them.
