So you have the Danish gettext support installed at your server then? Do you have other programs where a Danish translation works? I had the same symptoms earlier, and I found out that the problem wasn't SquirrelMail, but the server itself, not supporting some languages since they were not installed, i.e. no programs with translations worked. Which OS and distribution do you use? Maybe someone else on the list can offer some advice.
