Hi, this is the first time I started SM, and I'm still linux newbie in alot
of ways, sorry if my question may be too elementary.

There are around 20 users in our dept, and each has his/her own Sun
workstation. Emails to the users are sent to each user's imap/pop server
deployed at his/her Sun workstation. I don't know why each user should have
his own imap/pop server, because I would think it should be centralized, but
that has been that way it's been. So, until now each user accesses his email
from a mail client, and that email client points to his own Sun workstation.

Now, I want to setup one SM server so that all users can use the browser to
point to my SM server. Because each user has his own imap/pop server, what I
need for SM is the vlogin plugin, am I right? (also wanted to make sure,
that mail_fetch won't help in this case, is that right?)

I've been trying to configure the vlogin to work, and this is where I'd like
some help. I wonder if anyone can tell me the baseline configuration that I
need just for this scenario to work? My SM installation is complete, and I
tested to work with just one imap server -- that is, by using conf.pl script
and pointing to one imap server under the Server Settings.

Now in order for SM to point to different imap servers depending on the
username entered, I need to use users.dat to set the map, is that correct?
And that the users need to enter their login name as
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]", is that right?

I've been trying but hasn't been working ("Unknown user or pw incorrect").
Do I need any other configuration? Any input I appreciate, thanks,

Koya
