I have now installed vlogin 3.2 with SquirrelMail 1.4.1 and php 4.3.1 . It seem to work to handle different domains and to login.
Strange is that the titlebar in Mozilla 1.2.1 looks like this when logged in:

Also I have this error message at the top in both the left and the right panel:

(I have before used vlogin 2.4 with SquirrelMail 1.2.11 and php 4.3.1 and there everything worked fine.)
