Again, should Eudora have nothing to do with SM.  Eudora is a client
that you are running on your own machine at home; SM is a client
interface that is running on the server.  SM uses IMAP for client
authentication and accessing mail on your server, and either sendmail or
SMTP for sending mail.  Please re-read the installation documentation
and the squirrelmail.org documentation and make sure you have configured
everything correctly (using the configuration script, preferably).  If
you still have problems, please post detailed error messages and any
other relevant information.

By turning off Eudora, I simply switched the program on and off.  I
didn't uninstall it.   I'm assuming that Eudora uses sendmail, while
Squirrelmail uses IMAP or does it, too, use sendmail.
