i installed squirrelmail 1.4.0 on a suse linux 8.1 server with cyrus imap.
after installing everything correctly i get the following error message when i try to login:
Error opening /var/squirrelmail/data//default_pref Could not create initial preference file! /var/squirrelmail/data/ should be writable by user wwwrun Please contact your system administrator and report this error.
my listing says the following for /var/squirrelmail
drwxr-xr-x 4 wwwrun www 4096 May 31 16:49 squirrelmail
and for /var/squirrelmail/data
drwxrwxrwx 2 wwwrun www 4096 May 31 16:58 data
my apache user is wwwrun.www
i really don't know what i should change now?
any ideas?
