I'm curious because > the release date on 1.2.11 is newer than that for 1.4.0. 1.4.0 hasn't been released yet... only candidates... but your observation was partially correct. I had released 1.2.11 shortly after the 1.4RC2a release... This does seem a little confusing until you read the reason for it's release. The 1.2 branch is only going to be maintained in respect of big bugs, and security issues. I'll probably continue to maintain parts of that myself, with maybe Thijs doing a little work if he's up to it. 1.4 is the way we're heading, and will be the next release. Any further releases from 1.2 will be bug fixes and security updates. > I'll be upgrading soon from 1.2.8... is it best to skip 1.2.11 and > go directly to 1.4.0? How stable is the 1.4.0 "candidate?" There are some plugins that just won't work with 1.4, but authors should be updating them. -- Jonathan Angliss ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Etnus, makers of TotalView, The debugger for complex code.
