I do not think there is a co-relation between SM and MM. Because the two are completely seperated. The issue probably is how you have MM configed. PINE is probably seeing the text attachment and using it as the body is my guess, and that all emails sent to the MM list are showing up as attachments. Check your MM config for any options to send messages as attachments. Also note as I stated in an earlier email on this subject, that if you reply or forward an email via SM directly from the message list the original email will be sent as an attachment.
