Yes. I use pine for all my own admin email, and SM only for working within 
the one domain.

-I can send mail from pine to the list and read it fine in SM.
-I send mail from SM to the list and the message text appears as an 
attachment, not in the body (body & attachment would be acceptable, though 
a PITA).
-I can send mail from SM to SM and the text of the message appears as 
text.

I have disabled the view_as_html and htmlarea plugins, but that didn't 
make any difference. I believe the problem has to lie somewhere within the 
co-relation between SM and MM.
