Hi Arnon

Arnon (Arnon Gilboa, on the list) is building an updated driver,
maybe that will help ?
Anything will help.
Just tell me where I can Git it to build it myself and upload for others.
Save you guy sometimes.

we do have drivers for windows for the new server, so I don't see the problem.
If you mean "new server" = spice 0.8 then RHEL 6 vdi will have issue.

At the bottom of this page, I susgested that I should:
Remove old spice server, spice dependency and maybe qemu-kvm if
spice 0.8 requires a new set of dependency

Do you know for sure that I only need to rebuild spice server 0.8 ?
The devil is in detail when I start compiling 0.8 and start seeing
"Not found, requires headers x.y.z , Missing libs version blah...".
So, shall I commit rebuild spice server ? or wait for your new driver patch ?

Thanks

Hi Alon
Test setup: Windows 7 64 bit guest, run on RHEL 6 KVM
Linux guests using xserver-xorg-video-qxl almost work.
YouTube flash inverted when using Windows Spice Client
but that is another thread.

QXL drivers tested and all fail to load. It uses generic vga driver.

* Spice-space: qxl-win32-0.6.0.zip \
qxl-win32-0.6.1.zip \
qxl_unstable.zip

* My build: QXL spice-0.8.0 and spice-0.6.4

Please advice.
If you think Win7 64-bit is still too early for Beta test then
I will move on with only Win.x 32-bit for our test Ugrad Labs.

Win7x64 qxl drivers should be at exactly the same state as x86.
In case of any x64-only bugs, please raise a red flag.
Your tests are really important for us.
Thanks Anon
I think the issue narrow down to Izik Eidus thread
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/spice-devel/2010-April/000237.html
If his comment is correct, then there is no hope to use anything new.

Windows 64 bit will not work unless RHEL6 update its spice server
from 0.4.2-15 to whatever it would support QXL 0.6.x and above.
I don't know when that happen. I guest I have to do the hard way
like I did for all of our Sun SPARC Solaris box. That is setup RHEL 6
core OS only, build new Spice server from source, add dependecny
as needed, and hope it works :-)

Please, tell me that I am wrong and I don't need to do that :-)

Thanks
The Ha

Ps. My plan is to write ALL document for SPICE Administrators.
So, yes, I will test them all for SPICE community.
