Hi everyone
I need to compile qxl drivers for Windows 7 64 bit, Windows XP and
spice client that will have Spice graphic and our Univeristy logo.
I need to setup 64-bit Windows environment to build spice.
Please tell me where do I start ?
What tools do I need ?
Which package dependency to build first ?
There is a BuildInstructions page (and now also a more ubuntu and
smartcard specific one contributed lately, to be merged later I hope)
on the spice-space wiki. (http://spice-space.org/page/Building_Instructions
and http://spice-space.org/page/Building_Instructions_ubuntu_smartcard)
Thanks, this page will help me to get some clue of what Windows
dependecy I need to build QXL driver.
Your space: http://www.spice-space.org/page/AlonLevy
give me a clue "get latest WDK 7.1" for MS development environment.
What's need is Building Instructions for Windows. I may have to
do that myself anyway since there are none.
Adding the logo sounds like changing the client icon maybe or reverting the
watermark removing patch by Hans and introducing your own patch with your own
icon converted to a header?
No idea, perharp it's faster let the expert tell us, Hans.
I'm not sure how good the instructions are wrt windows driver building, so
if they don't help you (or any other problem), just let me know.
There are none. I think it's a culture thing.
*Nix users usually have a"cheat sheet" when it comes to building thing.
It's also easier to publish "text" notes than GUI notes.
So, if you get your blog running, let's do that.
For now, I will try my best to start the "Building Instructions for Windows"
Ofcourse, I will need you guy help.
I can create a Trac here if you think that would help to get the ball rolling.
