If you are looking at the database import, you may also want to review my work in progress on simplifying DIH DB example at: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SOLR-10312 (need to change luceneMatchVersion in solrconfig.xml). There is also a lot of eCommerce integration with Solr out there, but not for this system. More for eZ Commerce, I think.
