Are you referring to Wine's target audience?
IMHO, the target audience is Linux, BSD, Solaris, Windows and soon Mac use
As I see it, Firefox links to CX because CX enhances Firefox - it allows
FF to run plugins that it could not otherwise run.
*IF* Firefox enhanced Wine - by providing an MSHTML-compatible object,
for example - then it would make sense to provide a link, as then FF

Wine isn't "marketable" , it's free.
I dont see anything "appealing" about running IE on Wine either, I have
several excellent browsers which run Native . btw FF is not one of them.
For me IE6 is more useful for quickly installing other software that
"requires IE" rather than spending days
I think the bottom line is this:
* Even though many of us are huge Firefox fans (me
included), promoting only Firefox on the Wine home
page is counter-productive simply because one of the
appealing (and marketable) aspects of Wine is that it
can run I.E. ;)
I think the Wine sites are perhaps the

I've been following your discussion about putting a Get Firefox button
on the WineHQ front page. While I'm a big fan of Firefox, I think that
we should advocate the more generic W3C standards instead, and use XHTML
that is valid against those. That way, we can support pretty much a
