Wine isn't "marketable" , it's free.
I dont see anything "appealing" about running IE on Wine either, I have
several excellent browsers which run Native . btw FF is not one of them.
For me IE6 is more useful for quickly installing other software that
"requires IE" rather than spending days debugging what it really requires.
