For a default open source build there is not specific stop command/script .
To stop the database you connect with the Virtuoso "isql" command line tool to
the running instance on port (or whatever it is running on) and run
"checkpoint;" followed by "shutdown;" ...

I am using Virtuoso_7.2.0 on MAC OS X 10.10.3. I am not able to stop the
virtuoso. I searched it on the Internet, but I was not able to find it. I
beelive there should be some command or I need to run some script to stop
the virtuoso.
