bug still reproduced with kernel option pci=nomsi. Asus 1201 NL with
Atheros ethernet card. Sometimes it frezzes after 4 Gb sometimes after
400Mb. googling does nothinng =(

the patch was only Vostro V13 specific. So it wasn't fixed for other
vendors and products.

I turned off splash but I have no time to read what is written in console.
