install.

A few of my web sites, when viewed after upgrading to firefox-3.0 (on
Ubuntu 8.04), display a vertical black line next to some GIF images
(created in Gimp). The only time I see this line is next to 1 pixel wide

I just got the same error. The only difference is that I was not using tasksel,
but had just typed the following command:
sudo apt-get install lamp-server^
Seems very likely that this is the same error though. In response to the disk
space question above, I have almost 100gigs of free space, and
I have the same problem with a Thinkpad T61. I was not having this issue
with 9.04. It was reproducible 100% of the time under the following
sequence: I'd have the laptop on AC power, put it to sleep, unplug the
power, then wake up the laptop--it would then go back to sleep in a few
