I'm also getting this. Randomly will lock up my system on boot.
Running Lucid Lynx, on Intel E8200, 4Gb Ram, dual booting with Vista,
I have a Logitech E3500 webcam.

I have the same problem. The last kernel update has improved the
problem. But I still get a lock about every 1 in 7 times. I've found a
purported workaround at this site:
