Sorry, I've not had time to try that. It offerred me a 'partial upgrade'
and I did not really understand.
Still my big issue is the tables in Writer. I do send most docs out as
pdf's. The attached document was the source for such a report. This file
has only been ever touched by Open Office, ne

Thanks for trying to move this forward, we need to get the basic right
before tackling the business world. 90% of users use 25% of Word
functionality (a guess but I'm sure it's true!). If we can get that 25%
working well thats all we can ask!
cheers
Best Regards

Just wondering about this bug report, it shows up in Launchpad as
incomplete, I did send a couple of files which demonstrated the problem.
Anything else I can help with.
This is really stopping me using OO writer, the other day I edited our
Montlhy report (we each add our comments and pass it on),
Thanks for the follow up, Try Copy/Move on the Dec08 sheet in the
attached. This is the only time I have encountered this problem, other
workbooks are okay including all my ex-Excel workbooks (I use a lot).
Although i don't have a problem any more, I thought it worth reporting,

Attached is an odt file with a simple table. In the previous post I

I tried this process again and I think I have narrowed it down. I made a
simple table in odt and successively edited/saved/closed it as a doc.
Each time adding colors, bullets, rows etc. 7 times in all. All was
okay. On the 8th time I centered the table (Using Table Properties) -

Sure, I'll "sanitze" a couple of files over the weekend.
It came to light as we were preparing a presentation to give to a client
the other day, bit embrassing as I had been singing the praises of Linux

Same happens if I copy a "good" table from powerpoint and paste in OO

I sent a couple of files via launchpad, hope u got them.
I've messed about a bit with this. Any table that has been created and
then moved (using Table properties) and then saved in OO as a doc;
closed it and open it, the table has disappeared. Pretty serious bug I
would think.

I've just installed Karmic, I can't get a resume after suspend with Bluetooth

suspend/resume successfully, I need to disable Networking and Bluetooth.
Bluetooth does not want to re-enable after that. Did not spend too

I've not logged in for a while, I do agree with Jpocreva, it is a
serious problem, I was trying to say (not very well!) that OO just needs
to get the basics right first, and in fact tables are a very basic part
of a word processor.
On a positive side, I've installed OO 3.1.1 (direct from OO site)
