Well, I guess the issue was with mozilla-mplayer. I found that it was
set up to handle m3u files, and after uninstalling it, firefox now asks
which application I would like to open m3u's with.

I did have php5-mysql installed, but apparently this doesn't add the
extension=mysql.so to the /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini
Or maybe it doesn't if php5-cgi is installed after php5-mysql.
I added this line manually after comparing with the
/etc/php5/apache2/php.ini and now MySQL show up in ph
I removed php5-cgi and php-mysql, erased the /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini and
then
# apt-get install php5-cgi
# apt-get install php5-mysql
so long as I install the packages in the right order, the extension line
is added to the php.ini for cgi and mysql_connect() is found.

I had a similar problem with drivers 8.24 through 8.27. Roughly one in three
logouts, the screen would turn completely white. At that point,
Ctrl-Alt-Backspace crashed the computer. After commenting out in xorg.conf:

Okay, I formated and installed Edgy Beta. I am in it right now, and my
Broadcom eth0 is working again, so something must have changed since
Knot 3. It appears my wireless is alive too...though it doesn't show up
with 'ifconfig', it does show up with 'ifconfig -a' or 'iwconfig.' So

Using the most current version of Dapper this behavior does not exist.
If it happens again reopen this bug, but I tested it for a good 20
minutes with different file types, directorys, and combinations of left
clicking and right clicking.

The broader issue is actually a 'Wishlist' request, and upstream
considers it a "WONTFIX" while the specific bug of gphoto2 being silent

Several of the courses in this package are broken. In several, the elevations
are not right, and trees and other obstacles completly fill the course.
Converting the .rgb files to .png files seemed to solve the problem. The .tcl
files had to be modified to point to the new
Dead Man's Drop
Desperation
Wild West Chute Out
Hippo Run
All of the above had bizarre elevations, terrain, and objects.
Keep Your Country Tidy had problems because the course size specified in
the .tcl file didn't match the size of the image files.
I can fix these and post the files, if that is

SATA drive. It's a WD Raptor 36gb and I split up the drive into 2
partitions (well 1 for windows then 1 extended for linux) and it's the

Ben - Not sure what you mean by local to my system. I didn't get this
from an upgrade. This is from a clean install...on knot 2 and knot 3.
If it is linux-restricted-modules...why does it work in dapper
automatically and not edgy? This is important because it is rather

I'm also seeing IMAP issues with thunderbird after a dist-upgrade from
feisty.
I've taken a look at the dovecot IMAP server running on Centos 4 and
there doesn't appear to be many connections coming through from the
desktops running Thunderbird.
Thunderbird is very busy doing something judging by
I've just had this same problem on a fresh install of Gutsy. The
solution was to install xbase-clients, which is suggested by openssh-
server.
