Just tried the generic package on Hardy.
I have a HVR 900 USB device.
1. Under 2.6.24-16-generic module loads without issue and analogue
scanning/tuning works. DVB scanning fails without any driver errors.
2. Under 2.6.24-17-generic you need to remove the em28xx.ko module they
have now included

As requested I have upgraded to the following kernel:
Linux riemann 2.6.27-2-generic #1 SMP Thu Aug 28 17:20:02 UTC 2008 i686
GNU/Linux
and have not seen the problem. I also never saw it with the previous
kernel, vmlinuz-2.6.24-21-generic. I did experience it earlier,

and install perfectly fine and as expected with the exception of app-

Is KDE the common thread? I seem to be the only person using the
automounter, for example.

Im having the same problem, only it doesnt work after a destroy. I just

On resuming from suspend, I'll occasionally see colored lines on
shadows, or else shadows replaced with solid white, or other similar
screen corruptions. This is on a Thinkpad T60 with a Mobility X1400,
using whichever drivers Intrepid uses out of the box.

[Intrepid][Regression] 2.6.27 fails to boot when given a root device vi
An example of the corruption; this is a screenshot of the "desktop wall"
post-resume. Note that the random choppiness towards the top is just a
result of switching desktops to bring up the wall; the interesting
portion is just the white blocky weird crap in the center of the screen.

Every time I boot, I get a gray box in the upper left corner. If it
doesn't go away after 30 seconds, I restart X, and I either get a gnome
error (see attached image) about half the time or a regular desktop the
other half of the time. I only get the crash report for nautilus
intermittently.

dmesg shows a whole bunch of these. Didnt seem to cause any problems
though. On other occasions Ill have a guest slice stop responding though
and go up to 100% cpu usage. Could be related. Here is the dmesg error.
