I can confirm the behavior described by William. After the start of
atftpd in 9.10 my cpu use went up to 100% and I got the same error
messages in daemon.log until atftpd was killed. I also had changed
USE_INETD to false before starting atftpd if that matters.

Actually the message makes sense now that I know what happened. You

I can reproduce this problem with Ubuntu 20.04, stock Gnome and latest
NVidia beta driver 470.42.01 as suggested by X11 maintainers.
Gnome doesn't crash, but just restarts the desktop.
The var/crash folder is also empty, and EnterVT errors are printed in
syslog

Notebook doesn't suspend when lid is closed after update
Recent updates to network-manager-gnome 1.2.0-0ubuntu0.16.04.3 corrected
the issue for me. Previous release also had issues with wpasupplicant and
eap-tls with RADIUS. This also seems to be fixed with
wpasupplicant 2.4-0ubuntu6.

I have received the following email. Could someone explain why this is
