I'm not sure it is exactly the same but at least it seems so. In my case
is in Kubuntu Karmic with nvidia-graphics-drivers-185 (185.18.36), and I
cannot achieve to get kdm, but startx works.
It's something weird because when I reconfigure the kernel and then
reboot it works but only for the first
I don't know if I should open another bug because the issue now is in
nvidia-graphics-drivers-185 <--> kdm. Please let me know...

The real version number (0.63) is missing!
On windows I get
plink: Release 0.63
Being able to get the right version is important as scripts may like to check

Net::SSH::Perl was removed from Debian a long time ago because of its
dependency with libpari that has a non-free license. Anyway,
Net::SSH::Perl is an old and unmaintaned module with lots of bugs.
