install that version and u are back to normal
U probably used the restricted drivers manager to install nvidia which

iam unable to view any video cd's in feisty beta . Previously a vcd
would not mount at all .
DVD and data cd's mounted and worked fine .
With recent kernel update , the video cd is mounted but no
applications are able to play it
Gxine crashes with seg fault and tote
ok after recent updates and probably changes to fstab file vcd is
mounted
However it seems the media players have trouble reading it and takes a
few seconds before it starts to play .

I have some more data for u folks .
On a fresh install of beta , the vcd was mounted properly .I could see
it under places in file browser
After the series of kernel changes , the vcd fails to mount properly .
The media players struggle to play it .
Absolutely no problem with other media types
Well a user has no way of knowing what the problem is .
As stated in the previous post that is a mozilla feature .
Anyways i just reported it thats all .

Right now, empathy displays a message ' /usr/libempathy/mission
control-5' wants acess to the default keyring.
Cant it just ask password for your accounts instead? Who wants to know
what mission control is or default keyring is.

you can try the command sudo pwmconfig to check fan and set speeds. I
did the same because my desktop cpu fan was running too fast, and i just
set min and max temps range for fan and it was fixed.

IN a terminal type amixer and see if cd in is muted.
