I have now tested this with todays (29.8.2008) intrepid including the
new .27 kernel. Seems to work ok after first disconnect/connect. After
the second time, mouse and keyboard don't work anymore. Third time whole
thing locks up. Hardware is exactly the same as in the original report.

I experienced this too. What is the point of overwriting working configs
without informing the user? Is the old config incompatible with the new
binary? Doesn't seem to be that way as the new config files did not work
for me AT ALL. When i replaced with old config everything works as
before.

Update: the problem still exists in edgy beta release.

I have this problem in fully updated Feisty (30.9.2007). Two users
logged in and when plugging in an USB stick or a CD it seems that it
mounts randomly as one of the users OR then the first user always gets
the device (haven't tested for sure). Still it seems quite clear that

Still getting this in fully updated gutsy (19.9.2007). Complete lockup.
CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE does not work, nor CTRL-ALT-F1.
I've attached all (hopefully) necessary logs and command outputs. The
logs are taken when the machine was connected to the port replicator.

I experienced this _once_ today, but could not reproduce it (tested 3

but never got a prompt. CTRL-ALT-DEL didn't work either, sysrq-boot did.

After some testing, still having problems with this. I can get it paired

Sigh.

Bluetooth Logitech Dinovo Edge Keyboard/Mouse dones not work anymore

I have this working now thanks to previously mentioned launchpad answer:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/105987
Did this:
1) System -> Preferences -> Bluetooth
2) Setup New Device
3) Forward, choose dinovo
4) Choose "" From PIN options
5) Press "connect" on the back of the dino
I see it during boot, before the splash screen. It seems to me it
prolongs the boot time by some time (maybe 3-5 sec).

Just tested and verified, this definitely works on Jaunty (I have two of
these keyboards, both work on two different Jaunty machines), but not on
Lucid. Also the keyboard works in the Lucid-machine _before_ Ubuntu is
loaded (I can get to the BIOS for instance), but after that it doesn't.
Wonder if
Stopped working in Lucid about a week ago. I cannot get it to connect
_at all_. Worked fine before this. I use the included dongle, if that
matters.

I can confirm this. Imon VFD/IR receiver (ffdc) worked on jaunty just
fine. Now after upgrade to karmic it does not work with the same config
files (hardware.conf/lircd.conf). Theres no errors anywhere, just no
reaction to any keys, tested with irw, mode2, vdr, ...
