Since upgrading to Ubuntu 8.10, I am unable to start gnome-terminal from
my local pc via ssh
Basically, gnome-terminal does a fatal exit with the following error
message:
$ ssh -Y [EMAIL PROTECTED] gnome-terminal

When I attempted to upgrade my Ubuntu 8.10 (intrepid 64) system today, it
seemed that the kernel failed to configure.
sudo dpkg --configure -a
produced the following error message:

Examining /etc/kernel/postinst.d.
run-parts: executing /etc/kerne
Please can we re-open this bug report. Sound in vmware server still does not
work when using PulseAudio. In fact after a recent update, I've found the only
way to get sound to work is to kill pulseaudio before starting a virtual
machine:
