When I try to do "also affects project" it will let me add "quantal-backports"
but not "Quantal", and that doesn't seem right. (Is it?)

I just realized that on my Thinkpad T410 if I keep the external monitor
(connected via display port) off and then turn it on after my laptop is
on the ubuntu login screen, then log in, the external monitor alw
I was having similar problems with my Thinkpad T410 (external monitor
connected via display port would be blank after logging in). I realized
that I keep my monitor off until I reach the ubuntu login screen, then
turn it on, then log in, the external monitor always works.

Trying to install from USB on
I have had this issue for a very long time. I think wine causes some
type of conflict with compiz. Not so much unity itself. The tends to
happen on native fullscreen apps from time to time as well.

cruzer thubdrive it says it fails to mount, yet it mounts anyway.

Okay, I booted from my beta 12.04 CD. The splash logo is perfectly fine,
but once it gets to the loading screen it has borders on each end of the
TV. I can uncheck the Mirror Display to somewhat fix the problem, it is
just too big. The Unity Bar is barely visible, and I can't even see the
time or t

This bug affects me. The only workaround that works for me is the
changing-background one. Something else to add that no one else seems
to have noticed: The window buttons automatically rearrange themselves
in order of activity - if you use a window more, its button moves
rightwards in the list.

I discovered this in relation to jack, which installs
/etc/security/limits.d/audio.conf, containing:
@audio - rtprio 95
@audio - memlockunlimited
For a user in the audio group:
$ulimit -l -r
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) 65536
real-time priority
Thanks! Is something other than systemd setting the real-time priority?
Because if I move audio.conf, rtprio is no longer set:
$ulimit -l -r
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) 65536
real-time priority (-r) 0

I can REDUCE the memlock limit in /etc/systemd/system.conf, or by
creating /etc/systemd/system.conf.d/ and a file in that, but cannot
increase it beyond 65536kB. For instance:
[Manager]
DefaultLimitMEMLOCK=100M
does nothing, and neither does specifying "infinity".

Gnome shell crashes after lock
This happens on Ubuntu 20.04-21.10, it most likely happens on other
versions as well and is not a regression. I tested Pop OS 20.04-21.10
and it has the same issues.
This is probably a hardware specific patch that needs to be created for
this unique display.

The OneXPlayer uses a 1600x2560 display which requires Ubuntu to be in
the right portrait mode in order to be in a landscape view. Its running
on a i7 1195G7 with Intel Iris Graphics.
When changing from the default resolution of 1600x2560 I get "Changes
cannot be applied" and
Kernel 5.16 on Ubuntu 21.10 have this driver!

Hi. I am also experiencing this problem (on Ubuntu) and can confirm that
the solution in post #11 works. I would suggest that this fix be made
the default as it is in Windows so others don't have to do a lot of
digging to fix it.

I also have the same problem. 409 MiB after ~4 days uptime. I only
have 512 MiB physical memory, and it really started to become a problem.
