I installed epiphany last night. I turned on the favicon extension and
it worked. i turned off the computer and went to bed. I woke up this
morning and the favicon extension doesn't work anymore. It's still
turned on. It simply stopped working.

There is a major bug in hellanzb where the download stops for no real
reason. an error message appears on the screen. Sometimes this causes
the program to lock up.
The bug has since been fixed, months ago actually. If you just update

All of them. The extension only kicks in with sites that don't use the
"standard method" (whatever that means). It then looks for a

Favicon extension doesn't
By the way, almost all sites need the extension because apparently very
few sites use the "standard method" (which I think might mean putting a
tag in the html file telling the browser what the favicon is).
So if you want to test: yahoo.com should work and google.com should NOT
work.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: epiphany-browser
When you click on the web pages in Epiphany it shows a cursor. This is
distracting and extremely annoying, not to mention pointless (since
Epiphany isn't a content editor, the cursor serves no purpose). Please
report this upstream.

Ok, thank you.

I had something similar happen to me. I was using a custom .gtkrc-2.0
file in my /home that I had forgotten about. When I cleared it out, the
problem went away.
Something to try/consider.
