Unfortunately I sold my iphone so I can test this, but last time I tried
my iphone was showing up in nautilus and it seemed to be working well.
I'll close the ticket as it seemed to be functioning properly with the
updates (and I can't further test it). Thanks.

Thanks for the info Seth. At this point my issue is that my iphone no
longer shows up in either nautilus or rhythmbox...nada.

When I attempted to transfer some songs to my iphone I was given the
error "Error transferring track Unable to send file to MTP device: PTP
Layer error 02ff: LIBMTP_Send_File_From_File_Descripto
I upgraded to rhythmbox 0.12.7-0ubuntu8 rebooted the computer and
unfortunately get the same error when trying to drag a song to the
iphone, "Unable to send file to MTP device: PTP Layer error 02ff:
LIBMTP_Send_File_From_File_Descriptor(): Could not send object."

I upgraded to usbmuxd 1.0.2-1ubuntu1 and now my iphone doesn't appear in
rhythmbox. I don't know if it's associated, but as I understand the
iphone should also appear in nautilus, but it never has for me.

the first option, "Removable storage device is not mounted

I would love to have the "show desktop" key as optional in UNE. I
understand that as a design decision it wouldn't normally work to have
the desktop show itself. However, in my case I prefer to just uncheck
netbook-launcher from the startup programs, that way I still have
maximus working in order
