That should be partition 4 is a 1.4 gig swap partition.

Knot 1 of Edgy Eft for the PPC. Trying to install on a mac mini that is
running 6.0.6.
When I get to partitioning and select manual partitioning it freezes or
locks up -- no activity for 20 minutes.
Under Disks, I show 7 partitions, with 1 being 0.03MiB, 2 being 953.67
MiB
Sorry, this is a desktop live disk; I figured that things
had to work moderately well before trying install so I
downloaded the live CD of the Desktop (not for server, not
a net installation, etc.)

Installer syslog is all from June 4th, nothing related to the
installation attempt.
The var/log/syslog may have the problem at 8:55

John: I need to withdraw the bug report.
At 2300 hours (local time) I went back to redo the install and reproduce
the problem. The only difference was that this time I didn't do
anything with applications, etc., before the installation. This time it
didn't lock up but gave me the partition info
Sorry to say, the answer is no, a new account (either desktop or
administrator) has the same problem. I've attached 2 screen capture
images: network.png shows what keeps coming up that is wrong (password
or pass phrase that it shows is 4 times the length shown in the png;

minefield doesn't crash, but the cursor is locked/frozen {nothing shows
as having been typed} when trying to reply to a mail message opened at
