stating it is bloated and does not function correctly. I agree it does not do
exactly what the name would imply. But it does work ( for Trackers) and should

I found what may lead to a solution: using vbetool instead of xset seems to
ignore input.

I just tried printing the second Nature paper (nature08923.pdf) and on
our system it works. Maybe this is a low-RAM issue: I noticed that RAM
uses went straight up when I printed the PDF.

I just tried to print that document and here, too, the image is missing.
I attached another file (Abschlussarbeit.pdf) that has the same problem:
the image (the blue logo) on page 1 doesn't print - neither with Evince
2.32.0 (from Ubuntu 10.10) nor with Evince 2.30.3 (from Ubuntu 10.4).

My fix no longer works on Jaunty, sadly. Even with my fix (above), the
external mouse is frozen on resume. Re-enabling the frozen external
mouse amounts to just unplugging and re-plugging it.

I also installed the 9.2 driver on a T42 with the Mobility 9600 M10. The
system is stable, the driver's recognized by jockey-kde, and GL
performance is very much improved. I'm using UT2004 to stress-test the

cited do have all four standard fonts (regular, italic, bold, bold-

Another reason it's not rated higher is because there is a workaround.
The workaround is to edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file. Add "noapic

I was using the nvidia-glx on my laptop with a GeForce4 420 Go 64M and
Ubuntu Edgy amd64. All was well until I upgraded to Feisty. At the end
of the upgrade the reboot dumped me to the command line and I had to
edit xorg.conf and change "nvidia" to "nv" in order to get X to load. I
tried reinstalli
I am running into the same issue. The mouse pointer appears in the
center of the screen, but it is unresponsive. I have tried changing my
xconfig to point to /dev/psaux and tried unloading and reloading psmouse
