I am also getting this on Kubuntu Jaunty.
The Resierfs filesystems on md RAID are checked every time (I'm shutting
down the computer normally) so bootup takes a long time. This is a 1TB
filesystem raided over two SATA drives in RAID1 setup.
However, on my eeepc netbook/laptop I have a reiserfs fi
ifixit.com shows the Macbook pro unibody as having a subwoofer and right
channel combination repair part. It also shows this part as having 4
wires, so the Sub is probably individually controllable. It is very
likely the candidate.

The contents of /var/log/ are not unified as per access permissions,
although many files have group readability for "adm" this is not a

FWIW, I had the same problem with intrepid, using the nonfree flash
package. To get around it, I removed any packages related to flash, and
downloaded an installer (for flash 10) from adobe.com and ran it.
With jaunty, the nonfree package from the repositories works fine for
me.

This is not a kernel issue. The kernel supports libusb1.0 and that
supports libfprint and friends. Debian may not have the current
version as noted in earlier but the new lib was released in Nov 2008 and
it is packaged by other distros.

Importance:
For now, the testing would be for Jaunty which released this week. If you both

tried Fedora 10, and 9.04 is the first Ubuntu I have tried. ifconfig wlan0
shows the device is up.
iwlist wlan0 scan shows all about the access point iwconfig wlan0 shows
Please add to the description that this also affects the entire HDX line
of notebooks from HP including the HDX 16 and the HDX 18. If we can get
them to update their BIOS, I don't want to be left out! :)
