Public bug reported:

Dell Latitude 610 with D-Link wireless card that uses the ath5k module. Works
in Fedora 9. I haven't
tried Fedora 10, and 9.04 is the first Ubuntu I have tried. ifconfig wlan0
shows the device is up.
iwlist wlan0 scan shows all about the access point iwconfig wlan0 shows a
correct essid but says
the ap is not associated. I try to associate it using the iwconfig command,
but it comes back
not associated. lsmod shows the ath5k module is loaded. (Had to submit the
bug this way since
I can get Ubuntu on the network.)

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
