In the notification area, when the ibus-pinyin input method is selected,
instead of a red Chinese character there is a black square with a red circle
and diagonal line
This problem wasn't in lucid before I upgraded, but it's in maverick.

In my current maverick install it's sorting my home folder by
modification date in reverse and it's sorting every other folder by
name. I can temporarily switch it back to sorting by name but it only
stays until I change to another folder and back. In previous versions it
would store my preference
