Ok I've attached some more info. Note from cups admin page: 1. Nothing is currently connected except HP Laser 6L. 2. Photosmart is listed three times - not connected and only works as listed first. 3. Canon is not connected although USB port is correct 4. Epson printer has not been connected

Bug #104166 seems relevant here. Whoever thinks this is not a high priority needs to think again unless Dell Ubuntu computers come with printers pre-configured and there is only one printer attached to the pc. Just FYI, that's not how many people operate these days. Thanks. -- printer changes
