the same source (only one available as far as I know). My printer is

uninstalled my Hp via the printing GUI and physically unplugged it from

Ok I've attached some more info. Note from cups admin page:
1. Nothing is currently connected except HP Laser 6L.
2. Photosmart is listed three times - not connected and only works as listed
first.
3. Canon is not connected although USB port is correct
4. Epson printer has not been connected

Bug #104166 seems relevant here. Whoever thinks this is not a high
priority needs to think again unless Dell Ubuntu computers come with
printers pre-configured and there is only one printer attached to the
pc. Just FYI, that's not how many people operate these days. Thanks.

Thank you! Please note that the only way I can print is to install and use
only my HP printer. Obviously, this is not ideal. Any other workarounds?

Type: Network Printer" and IPP Printer or printer on CUPS server" and "URI:

Thank you for the reply. A brief history: I tried a Dapper cd a few months
ago - no printer support. Then an Edgy - both printers supported. Then,
Feisty - again both printers supported. Used WUBI for a while - no problems
at all but maybe the "real" drivers were being used? Then, I did a clea
