I got a headset and tried it, no autodetection:

Regarding 0x19, I guess you are right and it's required for microphones, but I
don't have one to test.
Anyway, the pop noise is heard when switching between these two (Node 0x19

I'm sorry, I can't follow what you are saying, I don't know much about hda nor

I confirm that the pin config of 0x19 is required for microphones, without it
they are not detected, I just tested it.

I'm sorry, but what I previously said about the detection is wrong. I
guess I had some other changes around which broke it. However, I confirm
that ALC668_FIXUP_AUTO_MUTE is not the solution, the subtle background

Which is the value required to disable the mic pin?
I could try something, but if you could be slightly more specific it would be

This happened to me a couple of times, maybe more.
I doubt Intel Rapid Start is the problem. Also, I configured it to
hibernate my laptop after 15 minutes and my laptop still managed to wake
up from suspend within that amount of time.
I could investigate that much as it happens randomly and alway
I installed python-gi "lucid" when my OS was raring, so it's my fault.
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for helping me.

I have the same problem reported in comment #78.
powertop reports a high number of events/s for DLL060A:00 and also INT33C3:00.
Doing what was suggested in #80, I got the following:
irq/39-DLL060A:-315 [002]
Same problem, I then decided to delete all files that were synced up to
now, but even this option is dam slow.
I honestly think that Ubuntu One, being like it is now, is completely
useless (and moreover very risky to use).
I would prefer a more controlled approach (e.g. with explicit
