On Ubuntu 8.10, I experience serious problems with Freemat (installed
from official repository).
The application starts OK, but when I open the script editor, message
about improper font pops up. When I change the font in the setting, the
freemat just freezes when exiting the

I solved my issue by removing an old version of xulrunner which was
causing a duplicated loading in eclicpse which in turn caused the crash
