Oh yes, I'm using Gimmie (sudo aptitude install gimmie) which is the
different colored menus. It's an applet for gnome-panel.
The only third party package is the nvidia binary drivers (even that
from the Feisty repos)-- everything else is Feisty Fawn.

Update: for me, it only happens with Twinview (two monitors) with the
nvidia binary driver. I don't know if it would happen with Xinerama on

Yes it was, weirdly enough-- Just now though, I figured out that it's
because my monitors were set at two different resolutions (they're
different sized monitors). If I set them at the same resolution, than
everything is normal.
It seems to be gone or at least usable until/if Nouveau works on my

MIDI (Xandros and SUSE in previous versions did, now they don't, sadly)
so this is just extra icing on the cake for me :) It's worth pointing
out that Windows sets up MIDI automatically.

I'd agree that this should probably be unchecked by default, as the
people who use digital output would probably know to enable it for

My WUSB54G v4 from ebay uses the rt2500 chipset and driver and doesn't
connect to WPA in Feisty; I get a pop-up saying "requires security
capabilities unsupported by your hardware". The more recent (still in

I reported in Bug 89741 (Title bar not drawn on maximized windows when
desktop effects are enabled) that I was experiencing a white and glitchy
desktop when compiz is enabled, although the wobbly windows work. I'll
attach pictures to show this.

I usually use my web browser in an unmaximized state but move it so that
the scrollbar is just falling off the edge of the screen, so that I can
flick my mouse to the right and use the scroll bar easily. This works

I forgot to add that I can drag the icons (where I guess they were the
last time I saw them) that are on my desktop and see them on the mouse
cursor, but they are invisible again after I stop dragging.

change to virtual console 1 (ctrl + alt +f1) or any of the others, I
