Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: bittorrent
The Edgy bittorrent package seems to break when the /usr/bin/python
symlink is set to python2.5. For example:

I'm seeing this problem right now under Edgy. I notice I have lots of
evil multimedia plugins installed (w32codecs and gstreamer0.10-plugins-
good, -bad, and -ugly). I'll remove as many as possible and see if I can
isolate which one is locking /dev/dsp...

I'm seeing this all the time in Edgy (f-spot 0.2.1) with even trivial
use (tagging and browsing photos).
I think it's an upstream bug in f-spot, based on information here:

This may or may not be a duplicate of bug 26064, reported for Breezy

I'd like to re-open this bug for Feisty. We have four Core 2 duo
machines with an Intel Q965 chipset that are all losing ticks at about
three seconds per minute (three hours per day). This appears to be an
upstream kernel bug with both 2.6.19 and 2.6.20, since this occurs for
us with both Feisty an

Binary package hint: texlive-latex-recommended
The mathpazo (Palatino) fonts are included in the package texlive-latex-
recommended, but these are unusable from LaTeX without the style file
mathpazo.sty, which is missing.
As a trivial test case, the document

Ah, it appears that mathpazo.sty is in texlive-latex-base.
Does it really make sense to split up the style files and font files
into different packages? Aren't the style files and font files entirely
useless without each other?

Ah, libflashplayer.so appears in the stack trace, so a likely culprit is
my Adobe plugin. (But after removing libflash0c2, libflash-swfplayer,
and libflash-mozplugin, I can't reproduce the crash. Perhaps these
conflict with the Adobe plugin. Damned Flash.)
