My device detection also improved when I added the blueman repo. I
haven't tried all the dialup/etc functions, but this fixes my "No such

Here is an attempted workaround, which assumes the .93 version of libbfd

I upgraded to 12.10 successfully and didn't see any graphics problems.
Today, after my laptop was on for a while but not in a position where it
would overheat, I had random colored pixels on the screen and the mouse
position only refreshed a few times. dmesg contains "NVRM: Xi
A workaround on 12.10 is to run "sudo nm-connection-editor" instead of
using the normal NM menu. And, as you edit in the openvpn config dialog,
your terminal will now show validation errors (like 'Invalid setting
VPN: username').
