shutdown when I returned home. On reboot, Kubuntu gets as far as the

I concur. On Asus F3Sa, the exact, described problem occurs under
Kubuntu/KDE4.1. Upon resume, though, I have not noticed file
inconsistencies, although KNetworkManager goes a little berserk until I
disable/re-enable.

Installer crashed on me a couple times; cleaning the cd didn't help
that. I mem-tested and found nothing wrong, so i reburnt the cd at a
lowerspeed- crashed once . On the next try, the liveCD install was
successful. Onto other fun errors...

Installed the Kubuntu Beta last night, after some shenanigans on the
LiveCDs part, to discover this exact system behavior- desktop appears
frozen but the mouse is responsive. The difference is that the time to
this error is < 5mins.
As i am not home atm i cant forward the syslog but its forthcomin
Havent't forgotten about the lspci output, but I am having issues
recognizing my router, and loading USBs- wonderful combo. I almost
regret not having a floppy drive... nah.
I was actually on pretty smoothly for about an hour or so before it hung
on me. Since then it has returned to more frequent
