nvidia-390.
So, first of all, we need to fix nvidia-persistenced.
sudo cp /lib/systemd/system/nvidia-persistenced.service /etc/systemd/system

Turbostat shows correct turbo boost.
After cleaning the system with bleachbit and not running indicator-cpufreq
flickering is not that proeminent.

This is a bug, and also a fix.
The Wi-fi LED doesn't light in any circumstance, but this is not a problem,
since the LED only lights in Windows 8 after installing the requiered drivers.
In Windows 8 the Wi-Fi Fn key works by switching airplane mode ON/OFF and it
works right
And now the fix:
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
Find the line with:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash quiet"
and modify it to look like this:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash quiet acpi_osi='!Windows 2012'"
Save and close editor.
Then:
sudo update-grub
and restart.

This bug has much been fixed in ubuntu gnome trusty, but that flickering is
also somewhat present, especially when opening multiple programs or program
windows.
In ubuntu gnome 13.10 I minimized that by editing time constants in overlay.js
and using smaller values.
This may probebly be an option

I can't disable nvidia from bios on this laptop. The only thing I can do is
assign more ram to intel.
Until ubuntu 13.04 i was only able to use nvdia driver through bumblebee and
even if I tried to use nvidia as the only graphics, I did not succeded. Nor did
I try much.
Also I never tried nvidia
If it helps, no I have the system right as I wanted (with bumblebee
installed), so I could run apport-collect, to see if this is the same
case (no nvidia installed)
