Ok, I renamed the ~/.me-tv folder and started me-tv. Than I scanned the
channels and me-tv found 4.
And now watching tv works fine. There must be something wrong with the channels
before.

Thank you for your fast response.
I will test this behaviour when I am at this computer again. On my Dell
XPS M1330 Me-TV works fine with my USB DVB-T Stick. On the other
computer where I have this problem Me-TV never worked and failed always
with the same error.
Kaffeine is faster than 5 seconds
I started me-tv with the command "me-tv --read-timeout 30" and the error
still occurs. The time from starting me-tv to the appearance of the
error-message could be about 30 seconds.

possible to enter text into the form and buttons back and next were greyed out.

* choose manual partitioning at step 4
* after every change of mount point or format flag, a window containing a
progress bar and a cancel button pops up.
* hit that cancel button (on this machine the window stays open for about 4

debug enabled.

I've just installed Lucid on an X24 laptop (1.2GHz) and the indexing just kills
it. It should be really off by default. I've got a work account with 10,000s of

can't complain under Lucid. It works out of the box with my Radeon
Mobility M6 LY. It's still a bit slow but then it's not the fastest
laptop I've got with 1.2GHz clock.

Yes I turned off "Desktop Effects" and it worked now.
But if you download Thunderbird from www.mozilla.com it works with the enabled
"Desktop Effects". There must be something wrong with the package in Ubuntu
