Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution
Today I created a backup of my evolution settings with Evolution 2.26.1 (File -> Backup Settings...) on my Ubuntu 9.04 machine. Then I copied the tar.gz file to my new installed Ubuntu 9.10 (in VirtualBox) and tried to restore this Backup with Evolution 2.27.4.1 installed on Ubuntu 9.10. The restore crashes and the evolution Welcome Screen appears again. be...@karmic:~$ evolution ** (evolution:3243): DEBUG: mailto URL command: evolution %s ** (evolution:3243): DEBUG: mailto URL program: evolution ** Message: First result 0 .evolution/ ** Message: Second result 0 .evolution/backup-restore-gconf.xml ** Message: Third result 0 ** Message: Sanity check result 1:0 0 ** Message: First result 0 .evolution/ ** Message: Second result 0 .evolution/backup-restore-gconf.xml ** Message: Third result 0 ** Message: Cannot restore from an incorrect archive '/home/bernd/evolution-backup.tar.gz'. ** Message: evolution be...@karmic:~$ ** (evolution:3280): DEBUG: mailto URL command: evolution %s ** (evolution:3280): DEBUG: mailto URL program: evolution ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Backup with Version 2.26.1 and Restore with Version 2.27.4.1 doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/403136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
