It might be boring to repeat suggestions made earlier, but WICD just
works. I have been struggling for a month without WPA2 connectivity.
WICD just solved it. It is a bit disappointing as I also had to switch
to blueman for proper bluetooth support instead of kbluetooth, that also
did not work for

i have the same issue and had it with ff2 as well. i was rather hoping
this would have been fixed for ff3. of the extensions you have installed
i also have the ubuntu modifications and webdeveloper. typing in the
address field is not the problem only pressing enter or the go arrow
just does

I can confirm the same bug. After updating to Jaunty and I can only
connect to Open networks. Chipset is Intel 4965. This goes for Plasma
widget and knetworkmanager. Knetworkmanager does not even react when I
click a WPA network. Usually you see at least some activity trying to
connect to the netwo

Ahhh ok now I understand this issue and why it moved to kdebase. The
same issue exists with konquerer and it is KDE related. I hope the devs
can take care of this issue which will greatly enhance usability of file
browsing.

After reading up some more I removed alsa and pulseaudio and reinstalled
like this:
sudo apt-get remove --purge alsa-base pulseaudio
Now install again Alsa and Pulse Audio:
sudo apt-get install alsa-base pulseaudio
Then, reload Alsa:
sudo alsa force-reload
That made audio up and runni
fixed myself by reinstalling pulseaudio

I intended to remove the bookmarks manually from
../.kde/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml, but I was afraid to ruin
stuff. bookmarks.xml has grown to almost 200kB in my instance.

Thanks Raymond, it took quite some extra tweaking in PAVU control to
make that work. I reset the config thru 'rm -r ~/.config/pulse;
pulseaudio -k' and adjusted the config. It is now stable again. It is
hard to convey what I actually did, because it is quite a lot. Als not
sure what is my ignorance
