I have the same issue with my ALC892.
The only workaround is to use the hdajackretask, however this tweak
disables either speaker or microphone.
Does someone know if this bug will be fixed as it have been reported in

I installed play on Linux using command sudo apt-get install playonlinux. It
downloaded something which needed 32 bit support. They were some 32 bit
libraries. I removed them and removed playonlinux. I'll try installing it again

I did install unity8 on a fresh installation of Ubuntu 16.04 64bit on my
Dell Inspiron 15R laptop, with Intel® Ivybridge Mobile Graphics Card (
