download windows opens but dosent hangs. i'm using Intrepid.

i can view my webcam image in d configuration settings but when i invite ppl 2
view my webcam, they don't receive any invite from me and also they cant send
me an invite to their webcam. this was not a problem on 8.04 which i was on
previous

P.S. Once it hangs i can't close it without running Xkill in Alt+F2 n clicking
on force quit, after which if i try running it again it'll tell me some other
synaptic manager is running in non-in

i previously tried upgrading 4rom ubuntu 8.04 to interpid 8.10 but had
numerous problems,so i opted 4 system backup removal of 8.04 n fresh
install of 8.10. at first it seemed 2 work but after updating some
packages like skype,kopete, openoffice, and especialy screenlets which
