This annoying bug affects me also since the release of Karmic. After
startup, in 80% times the Notification area is messed up, icons are
duplicated and sometimes the sound is muted.
NVidia FX5200 video card here, if it has anything to do with it. I never
had this issue on previous Ubuntu releases.
Cannot disable screensaver in SMPlayer since last update, too.
First, I had this problem about mouse pointer popping up every 8-10
seconds in fullscreen if 'Disable screensaver' was checked (but
screensaver was disabled), and now the option (set from GUI) doesn't
work at all).
Pretty annoying thi
I also have a similar bug. After restart, very often the Network Manager
Applet doesn't show up on Notification Area, but instead two icons of
Screenlets Daemon are displayed:

After logging off and back on, everything is as it should be:
http://i37.
Affects me also. Not only that the mouse appears and disappears, but it
also changes location to left and right a bit, so it doesn't help if I
move the mouse to the edge of the screen because it keeps popping up
left/right nevertheless.
It seems it doesn't happen if you don't move the mouse after
I have this bug also. When the screensaver becomes active while Firefox
is running, after going back to Firefox, address bar suggestions do not
appear anymore. In fact, they seem to appear for a very brief moment,
and then disappear.
The only extension I have installed is Adblock Plus. The bug per
I confirm this behavior on Brasero 2.26.1. The ISO file and the burned
CD have the same md5 hash value, but Brasero reports that the md5 hash
for CD is different:
ERROR WHILE BURNING - SOME FILES MAY BE CORRUPTED ON THE DISC

Same here, annoying as well, agreed that this is a regression since
9.04.
I hope they will return it to the way it was.

This bug affected me also. Changing the 'Output driver' from 'alsa' to
'pulse' solved the issue.
Still, two bugs persist:
1. playback is disabled when sound is muted
2. mouse pointer keeps appearing in fullscreen every 8-10 seconds if 'Disable
screensaver' is checked

I was wrong, it still happens. Only unchecking 'Disable screensaver'
stops it, but then, bu
It affects me also, Ubuntu Karmic. I too am playing Runescape and I
can't get sound from both Java and SMPlayer/Exaile/Flash. If I run
Runescape first, I have sound in Runescape, but not in my video players,
audio players, Flash-animations and sites like YouTube and vice versa:
