I cannot confirm that bug on Kubuntu 6.10 RC on laptop with ATI Radeon IGP 200M
and desktop with Radeon 9600. That might be not graphic card dependent but
computer mainboard/bios.

Clean install of dapper. Updated fully. Installed package network-
manager-gnome. Ran the command "sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f

It seems that now Edgy's firefox 2.0rc2 (1.99+2.0rc2+dfsg-0ubuntu1) has this
bug, too.
Tried running firefox even with '--sync --safe-mode' command line options but
it didn't help.
Gdb didn't say anything usefull, too.
Running 'XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1 firefox' is a good workaround to run

I've got HP compaq nx9005 laptop with Athlon XP Mobile 2500+ and cpu
scalling works great for me - laptop never overheats and I see that fan
is running a lot less than in Windows XP (with which the laptop was
preinstalled) or Mandriva and performance in Kubuntu Edgy Eft is better,
too.

compact flash memory loaded. I have tried various CF cards lying around
here, but this adapter refuses to load due to an error: ata2: failed to

I just got this working with a CN700 (DRI works fine too). The driver or
Xorg or whatever doesn't detect the hsync and vsync values properly. You
have to add them to xorg.conf manually to work around this bug.
For example for my 1280x1024 LCD screen these are my Monitor and Screen
sections of xorg
I have the same issue. I can receive files sent from my computer to my
phone, but I can't send files from my phone to my computer. Nokia E51.
However, I can browse my phone from my computer using Nautilus.
This is a pretty big regression nevertheless.

After compiling today's GIT version of the SiS driver, I have working
DRI in Gutsy current.
So the issue lies in the driver. It needs an update, despite the fact
that there was no new official release beyond what's already in Gutsy.
The GIT version works fine.

This an installer syslog as requested by seb128, from a feisty
installation, a daily live build from just a two, three days ago. The
installer indeed does not pull in the required language pack or
dictionaries. Polish in this case.
